My name is Belinda Grantham. I am the principal of Head Start. What you have in your hands is the Parent Newsletter for all Head Start classrooms and Mrs. Sulko’s room. You will receive this newsletter every month. This newsletter is different from the classroom newsletter because it will tell you about events that are happening in ALL Head Start classrooms. I hope that you will make time to read both the classroom and the program newsletter. It is a great way to find out what your child is learning.
Head Start has two main focuses. First, we work with families to help them be stronger. Our family service providers will work with you to achieve the goals that you have for your family. Second, we teach children the skills that they will need to be successful in kindergarten. Our teachers are very good at knowing how to meet the learning needs of each child. These are our main purpose.
If you have questions at any point in the year, please DO NOT HESITATE to call your teacher, your family service provider or myself. Communication between us will make sure that we are working together for your child. THANK YOU for choosing to have your child attend Head Start and Early Childhood.
